ABOUT COUNTY SPEECH

The PROMPT technique is frequently implemented in apraxia therapy as well as articulation therapy with excellent results. When a prompt is provided it alerts the child about the exact location & oral movement for the production of each targeted sound. This, in addition, to oral-strengthening helps to support correct speech production of sounds.
Carol utilizes iPad apps to increase motivation and to facilitate comprehension.
She attends yearly conferences to stay up to date with the latest techniques to assist her clients. In addition to working in special education pre-schools, Carol has worked at St.Mary's Hospital for Children, a rehabilitation hospital. Consequently she is quite comfortable treating children with tracheostomies and gastrostromies.
